Announcements for Week Ending July 20, 2008

Announcements

Greetings from Ila in Guatemala! Just visited the small mountain community Naebaj. Had to trek four an half miles up and down hills to reach this village along with three other little mountain villages. The cases are complicated please keep everyone in your prayers.

On July 13th three more people will join us – Sarah, Carol and Richard. We have had lots of rain. Wish we could send you some. Remember to keep everyone in your prayers.

PLEASE NOTE ~ The Friday Mass for Church Unity is postponed until Fr. Womble is able to resume this Mass. He hopes to resume the Mass in the near future.

Opportunities for Giving

St. Michael’s Food Pantry is still continuing to run low on: peanut butter, fruit, soup and juice. We are noticing an increase in the number of food bags distributed each week and the number of persons assisted. We thank you for your continued support of St. Michael’s Food Pantry and outreach to the community and those less fortunate.

Contributions are being accepted for a “brick” in the Foundations Courtyard in memory of Greg Peters. Any amount is accepted and may be made at the parish office.

Parish Life is Growing -
When Will We See You?

July 31 ~ Thursday evening dinner at Zeman’s (Ethiopan) Sign up sheet on Usher’s table

Sign up sheets for the Sidewinders ball game on August 8 are located on the usher’s table in the back of church. Stay tuned for the time. Car pooling can be arranged.

We are planning a trip to the Ft. Huachuca Museum. If you are interested or would like more information, please call the parish office Monday afternoons and talk to Les Stephens. Promises to be a fun event!
