Items needed for the popular “Recycled Gifts and Trinkets” table to help cover costs for St. Michael’s Advent International Bazaar (Dec. 7 and 8 this year) – collectibles, costume jewelry, that impulse buy you find you can’t use, that really lovely gift Aunt Agatha sent that just doesn’t suit your style. Bring items to the Church office throughout November. Sundays only, you may leave them in a marked box in the Church. The Bazaar is one of St. Michael’s many gifts to the larger community, and to the small nonprofit groups that need this sales venue.

United Thank Offering Boxes and envelopes are distributed this week end. Just fill your boxes with coins each day, and then in Lent the envelopes will be collected with a check for your total daily offerings collected. “UTO Everyday to “Expand the circle of thankful people. “Ampliar el circulo de gente agradecia.”  The United Thank Offering is a personal and family devotional program of The Episcopal Church. It is a practice in our life in Christ that begins with daily prayers and gifts of thanksgiving. These gifts of thanksgiving – coins and bills dropped in the UTO Blue Box – from each individual (man, woman and child) are combined with others at parish and diocesan celebrations and finally within all of The Episcopal Church. The Offerings totaling nearly $3 million each year (January through December 31) are given away in the form of grants. These grants continue to support and strengthen the mission and ministry of the Church throughout the world. Every penny of the Offerings is allocated each year for granting.

Join us in celebrating Thanksgiving Day! It begins with the Holy Eucharist at 10:30 AM followed by Thanksgiving Dinner at noon. Turkey and dressing, mashed potatoes, green beans, hot rolls and beverage provided. Just bring a dish or dessert to share.
