during the Muscular Dystrophy Association
(MDA) Lock-Up
on Thursday, August 10th, at 10:00 AM.
Bail has been set at $2,400.00!
Your help is needed!



If you encounter this criminal, do not bother asking what crime has been committed; it's not really important. Just help by raising the bail before the Lock-Up, and they will go easy on him. Help by printing and filling out the form below, and drop it in the collection basket or bring to the Church office no later than Monday, August 7th. Your 100% tax-deductible donation will help MDA continue research into the cause and the possible cure of the 40 neuromuscular diseases they cover as well as helping MDA provide wheelchairs, clinic visits and summer camp for people in our local area.

Take Me Out to the Ball Game! Join Father Smith, Father Ed, Charles Duke, Joh Jean and other St. Michael's folksfor an evening with the Tucson Sidewinders on Thirsty Thursday, July 6th. Meet and carpool from the church parking lot at 6 PM. Cost is $6 for general admission, $5 for seniors nd kiddies; $1 for 12 ounce beer, lemonade or soft drinks.

da quiltCasa Maria Volunteers will meet this Friday at 6:30 PM in the Parish Center to prepare sack lunches. Your help is needed - the volunteers can always use a few extra hands and shelled hard-boiled eggs. Join them for fellowship and to help with this good work.

St. Michael's Quilters and Knitters will meet this Saturday, July 8th, at 11:00 AM at the home of Mary Gayle Nash. Please bring iseas for a new quilt group project. Our first quilt is finished, and raffle tickets are available at $2.00 each. Please see Dolores Braren for raffle tickets. Drinks and dessert will be provided at Saturday's meeting. Please bring a sack lunch and any current projects you are making.

The Barnabas Group, a support group of encuragement for those who have experienced a loss at sometime, meets monthly. Next meeting Monday, July 10th, at 11:30 AM, at the City Grill restaurant located at 6464 E. Tanque Verde Road. Please call Peggy Speese for reservations at least three days prior to the meeting.

Almighty and Everliving God, Source of all Wisdom and Understanding: be present with those who will take counsel in General Convention in July for the Renewal and Mission of your Church. Teach them in all things to seek first your Honor and Glory. Guide them to perceive what is right, and grant them both the Courage to pursue it and the Grace to accomplish it, through Jesus Christ, our LORD. Amen.

Recitation of the Rosary this Saturday, June 3rd, at 7:45 AM in the Church, in honor of the presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary. All are invited.

Vestry Meeting this Tuesday, May 16th, in the Parish Center starting at 7:00 PM. All are invited to attend this important partish function.

Episcopal Church Women (ECW) Meeting this Wednesday, May 17th, starting at 10:00 AM in the Parish Center. All women are invited. Come hear Father Smith's presentation on his sabbatical on the Camino Santiago de Compostela.

MIF Series - Adult Forum - continues in the Parish Hall

Bishop Smith’s Adult Summer School at Chapel Rock - June 25 through July 1 at cool Prescott in the pines. Classes will be held in the morning and early evening leaving the afternoon to enjoy the camp and surrounding area. Class offerings are: These Stones Will Shout: How archaeology illuminates biblical text and Praying the Scriptures. Six-night accommodations and meals is $433 per person / single occupancy or $300 per person / double occupancy. Brochures are available on the ushers’ cabinet; related poster is posted on the bulletin board by the Parish Center.
