~ PENSIVE THOUGHTS ON STEWARDSHIP ~
If we are ever to nurture ourselves and others to understand and be good stewards, we need to begin with the spiritual life. No courses or books, no sermons or inspirational lectures, will achieve our goal ~ which is to nurture persons and communities who deal with wealth, material possessions, with time and the use of talents in ways that are a sign and witness to God’s reign, that condition in which God’s will is known and done.

Only if we nourish and nurture the spiritual life ~ that is learn to live in an ever deepening and loving relationship with God ~ will we ever be able to be aware of and acknowledge that all that we have is a gift from God, a consequence of God’s grace, God’s loving presence and action in our lives.. We need to be aware and acknowledge that we live by grace and are dependent upon God for the simplest elements of life. And so it is that we do not need so much and can generously share what we have with others. For too long we have made the error of talking about limited resources. We forget that as soon as people believe there may not be enough, they begin to hoard rather than share. But when we are confident that God will see that our deepest, most basic needs are met, we can live in trust and with hope, sharing what we have with all who are in need.

Stop by the Parish Office and read what workshops are available and which ones you would like to attend. There are more than 50 workshops covering the many different topics of the lay ministries of the church. Maybe you are a member of the Altar Guild, the Flower Guild, a new member of the Vestry or a parishioner
interested in learning more about growing your church? REMEMBER - workshops are assigned on a first-come, first served basis. Reservations must be received no later
than February 9, 2007.

All the audio sermons have been added to the sermons page as well.

The Father Ireland file was a large one (it included other parts of the Mass), and I was unable to upload it. I've edited out the non-sermon parts, but could only save it as a Wave file. This should play easily in a variety of software, but not necessarily all the same programs as the other files. (It should play in most of them, though!) Sorry about that!
