Canon Theologian, The Rev. Dr. Gil Stafford, will be presenting, “Jesus: His Mind, His Mystery, His Magic.” Stafford will draw upon the writings of Marcus Borg, Cynthia Bourgeault, Amy-Jill Levine, Carl Jung, Richard Rohr, and John Shelby Spong. Migrant Sunday May 29: Sermon, socks, water, pupusas!Reverend John Fife, Pastor Emeritus of Southside Presbyterian Church, will preach. Become a good Samaritan by bringing in water...gallon jugs and 24-pack pints...as well as new cotton socks. Migrants in the desert need your help as the temperatures begin to climb! The risk of dying from dehydration and from blisters is high. On the same day, the Social Action Committee will organize our annual filling of snack packs for the Samaritan desert walkers' distribution to migrants. And at coffee hour, a Guatemalan family of nine, who fled their home and have applied for political asylum, will sell their home made pupusas . Please come with your appetite and help the Ortega family.
