Announcements for Week Ending February 26th, 2006

MIF Series, Adult Forum continues in the Parish Hall Sundays from 9:00 to 9:45 AM. Topic on Sunday, February 26th will be "Engaging the Word," to be presented by Margaret Savage. All are welcome.

Parish Office closed Thursday and Friday, February 23rd and 24th.

Announcements for Week Ending February 19th, 2006

MIF Series, Adult Forum continues in the Parish Hall Sundays from 9:00 to 9:45 AM. Topic on Sunday, February 19th will be "Opening the Bible," to be presented by John Hsieh. All are welcome.

Social Concerns meeting this Sunday, February 19th, following the 10:00 AM Mass in th Parish Library. All are invited to attend.

Casa Maria Volunteers will meet this Friday at 6:30 PM in the Parish Center to prepare sack lunches. Your help is needed - the volunteers can always use a few extra hands and shelled hard-boiled eggs. Join them for fellowship and to help with this good work.

at 12:10 PM with celebrant the Rev. Carey Womble. All are encouraged to attend as we pray for the General Convention in July, dealing with the very divisive forces at work in our Church.

Inviting all Altar Guild members to attend the annual Diocesan Altar Guild Meeting schedule for Sunday, March 4th,at Trinity Cathedral in Phoenix. Meeting will include a continental breakfast, Sacristy tours, Holy Eucharist with Celebrant and Preacher Bishop Smith, program, and a musical program presented by Canon Musician Alan DePuy. Prpgram will consist of a display and comment on some unusual vestments and an antique chalice owned by Melinda Archer, a former altar guild member. A Lenten program about Judas will be presented, followed by a lunch. Cost is $10 per person. Interested people need tosign up in the Church's Sacristy no later than February 15th.

Announcements for Week ending February 5th, 2006

MIF Series, Adult Forum continues in the Parish Hall Sundays from 9:00 to 9:45 AM. Topic on Sunday, February 5th will be "A Theology of Worship" to be presented by Alan Schultz. All are welcome.

Week of Prayer for Christian Unity is coming to an end. Please continue to work and pray "that all may be one...that the world may believe" (John 17:21). In the coming weeks and months, we will be joining other Christian churches in our area in these and other ecumenical opportunities. Your active participation is encouraged.

Vocal auditions will be held for a ten-to-twelve voice male choir to sing the ancient service of Compline Sunday evenings monthly. Auditions 4:00 PM, Saturday, Febrauary 11th, at St.Michael's Church. Contact Alan Schultz, director, evenings.

Recitation of the Rosary will take place this Saturday at 7:45 AM, honoring the Purification of Saint Mary the Virgin.

Prayer for General Convention
Almighty and Everliving God, Source of all Wisdom and Understanding: be present with those who will take counsel in General Convention in July for the renewal and Mission of your Church. Teach them in all things to seek first your Honor and Glory. Guide them to perceive what is right, and grant them both the Courage to pursue it and the Grace to accomplish it, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.


the Epiphany trunkEpiphany gifts for Primavera - our treasure chest is open for those who would like to donate warm clothing, blankets, and sleeping bags to help homeless men, women and families throughout this winter season. The Primavera chest will be available through Sunday, February 26th.

Hebrew Class will not be held this week
, but will continue Wednesday, February 8th. Class will be held in the Parish Library starting at 8:45 AM.

Lost and Found - there are at least seven pairs of eyeglasses (somewith cases) in the Church office.
