Announcements for Week Ending December 25th, 2005

MIF Series - Adult Forum will continue on Sunday, January 15th. Look for announcements in January, 2006.

Christmas Flowers -
the special beauty of St. Michael's Christmas worship is the work of many people. Not all can be directly involved, but all can contribute to the Christmas Flowers and Decorations. Please use the Christmas Flowers envelope for floral donations.

Vestry Meeting this Tuesday, December 20th, at 6:00 PM in the Parish Center. Please note the time change. Parishioners are invited to attend this important parish function.

Casa Maria Volunteers will meet this Friday, December 23rd, at 6:30 PM in the Parish Center to prepare sack lunches. Your help is needed. The volunteers can always use a few extra hands and shelled hard-boiled eggs. Join them for fellowship and to help with this good work.

Pledge/Stewardship envelopes are available now at the back of the church. Please pick up your envelopes. This will help defray the cost of mailing them to your. Thank you!

Announcements for Week Ending December 18th, 2005

MIF Series - Adult Forum will continue on Sunday, January 15th. Look for announcements in January, 2006.

Greening of the Church on Sunday, December 18th,
following the 10:00 AM Mass. All are invited to help St. Michael's Altar Guild. Not all of the tasks involve climbing ladders. Helpers are needed to fluff the greens and prepare bows, and hang wreaths many hands will make short work of a big job.

Social Concerns Meeting this Sunday, December 18th,
following the 10:00 AM Mass in the Parish Center. All are invited to attend. Thanks to 20+ who helped with the Advent Bazaar; over $8.000 changed hands. Cookies needed for Borderlinks' annual Chrismas party in Nogales, Sonora. Sign up in back of church to bring cookies to the church by noon, December 16th, for 1,300 children. Call Ila for more info.

2006 Ordo Kalendars are available on the ushers' cabinet. A donation of $3.00 per calendar is requested to cover handling charges. Place donation envelope in the collection basket, or bring to the church office.

Angel Tree
Angel Tree continues to seek donations. This year, we have 35 children from Angel Tree, including prisoners' children who have been in Arizona as a result of hurricanes Katrina and Rita. There are requests for gift cards from local stores so that children can choose something they want. If you buy clothing, please include the gift receipt so that exchanges can be made. Please choose an Angel from the tree and sign the list on the table at the back of the church. Bring your gifts unwrapped to the church office or to the tree on Sundays before or after Mass. The Angel Tree program is an important part of St. Michael's ministry for children of prisoners. For additional information, please call Ancelyn Smith.

MIF Adult Forum Update

MIF Series - Adult Forum continues Sunday, December 11th, from 9:00 to 9:45 AM in the Parish Center. This week's topic is "Ethics After Easter" presented by Karl MacOmber. All are welcome. MIF Series will continue on Sunday, January 15th. Look for announcements in January, 2006.

MIF Series - Adult Forum continues in the Parish Center, Sundays from 9:00 to 9:45 AM. The next topic, on Sunday, December 11th, is "Christian Social Witness," presented by Peggy Van Norman. All are welcome.

Calling those parishioners who may be interested in serving as Vestry members

The Society of Mary invites all to recite the Rosary this Saturday at 7:45 AM in the Church, in honor of the Conception of Mary.

Next ECW meeting this Wednesday, December 7th. This meeting will include a cookie exchange (please bring 60 of one of your favorite cookies to share) and a lunch served by Joy Miller of EnJoy Cooking (cost $5.00 per person). Sign-up sheet is located on the ushers' cabinet. For luncheon reservations, contact ECW Chair Dolores Braren; for cookie exchange questions, contact Bonnie Edwards.
