Announcements for Week Ending December 18th, 2005

MIF Series - Adult Forum will continue on Sunday, January 15th. Look for announcements in January, 2006.

Greening of the Church on Sunday, December 18th,
following the 10:00 AM Mass. All are invited to help St. Michael's Altar Guild. Not all of the tasks involve climbing ladders. Helpers are needed to fluff the greens and prepare bows, and hang wreaths many hands will make short work of a big job.

Christmas Flowers -
the special beauty of St. Michael's Christmas worship is the work of many people. Not all can be directly involved, but all can contribute to the Christmas Flowers and Decorations. Please use the Christmas Flowers envelope for floral donations.

Social Concerns Meeting this Sunday, December 18th,
following the 10:00 AM Mass in the Parish Center. All are invited to attend. Thanks to 20+ who helped with the Advent Bazaar; over $8.000 changed hands. Cookies needed for Borderlinks' annual Chrismas party in Nogales, Sonora. Sign up in back of church to bring cookies to the church by noon, December 16th, for 1,300 children. Call Ila for more info.

2006 Ordo Kalendars are available on the ushers' cabinet. A donation of $3.00 per calendar is requested to cover handling charges. Place donation envelope in the collection basket, or bring to the church office.

Angel Tree
Angel Tree continues to seek donations. This year, we have 35 children from Angel Tree, including prisoners' children who have been in Arizona as a result of hurricanes Katrina and Rita. There are requests for gift cards from local stores so that children can choose something they want. If you buy clothing, please include the gift receipt so that exchanges can be made. Please choose an Angel from the tree and sign the list on the table at the back of the church. Bring your gifts unwrapped to the church office or to the tree on Sundays before or after Mass. The Angel Tree program is an important part of St. Michael's ministry for children of prisoners. For additional information, please call Ancelyn Smith.
