is pleased to present
The St. Michael’s Chamber Players
performing an extraordinary program
for virtuoso string quartet
String Quartet in E flat, Op. 74 (Harp), Beethoven
String Quartet in A minor, Op. 13, Mendelssohn
Beethoven’s famous string quartet, Op 74, has many facets that also appeared in his 5th symphony. Mendelssohn composed his remarkable Romantic style Op 13 in 1827 as a result of being inspired by Beethoven’s earlier Classical period work, composed in 1809. Truly a wonderful pairing of related works, linking Classical form to Romantic expression for your enjoyment.

A Note from Nancy

Just a quick note!

Natalie Ajmeri, Calvin Moore (both parishioners) and Timothy Burhenn (my grandson) are in Mrs. Schultz’ third grade class here at St. Michael’s Parish Day School.  Their class is collecting these “box tops for education.”  These box tops can be found on various cans of soup (Progresso) Kleenex, Land o’Lake’s butter, cookie mixes and some office supplies such as Avery address labels etc.  The “box tops” are about the size of a postage stamp.  If you have any and would like to contribute, simply drop them in the basket on the usher’s table in the back of church.

Mrs. Schultz’ Third Grade Class thanks you!

Peace,

Nancy
