Announcements for Week Ending 5/15/05

St. Paul Study - Margaret Savage shares her course on St. Paul, Wednesday evenings at 6:30 PM with potluck in the Parish Library. All are invited to attend.

Casa Maria Volunteers will meet this Friday at 6:30 PM, in the Parish Center to prepare sack lunches. Your help is needed – the volunteers can always use a few extra hands and SHELLED hard boiled eggs. join them for fellowship and to help with this good work.

Social Concerns meeting next Sunday following the 8:00 AM Mass in the Parish Hall. All are invited to attend.

Help needed this Monday morning at 9:00 AM to help other volunteers unpack the Mother's Day food bags and store in the Food Pantry.

Remember to mark your calendar for our upcoming Organ Rededication, featuring a performance with concert organist Todd Wilson Sunday, May 22, At 2:30 PM. All are invited to attend this important parish event featuring the newly expanded organ plus antiphonal division while experiencing an exquisite music presentation by the nationally acclaimed concert organist Todd Wilson. A champagne reception will follow the rededication and performance in the Parish Center. Tickets are $10 and are available at the church office and at church just before the concert.

Mr. Shafer was a long time resident of Tucson and performed with many musical organizations, including the Arizona Opera Company, the Choir of St. Michael and All Angels, the Christian Science Church in Green Valley and the Southern Arizona Symphony. As an active member of the National Federation of Music Clubs, Mr. Shafer was trice President of the Tucson Musical Arts Club as well as the National Western Regional Opera Chairman. Mr Shafer was also chairman of the Marguerite Ough Scholarship at the University of Arizona.
