Sunday School at St. Michael's, for children ages 4 through 8 and ages 9 through 12, began Sunday, September 10th. Registration is currently taking place. The program is looking for people, both parents and parishioners, to help as Shepherds. Please contact the church office for more information.
Need your help! Food pantry stocks are very low. Please help stock the food pantry by bringing non-perishable foods. The following items are especially needed: tuna, beans, soup, macaroni and cheese, and canned fruit. Please bring your donated food to the office or place in the box at the back of the Church.
All Women and Women friends of St. Michael's are invited to join ECW at its 2006-07 kickoff potluck luncheon this Wednesday, September 20th,10:00 AM in the Parish Center. All women of the parish are invited to bring their favorite potluck dish to share with 8 to 10 people. RSVP to Dolores Braren by Monday, September 18th. Mark your calendar for St. Michael's Patronal Feast Celebration - Michaelmas - Friday, September 29th, with High Mass at 7:00 PM followed by a communal meal in the Parish Center. Carmen Guerrero, Diocesan Canon for Peace and Justice, will present a homily at this service. Watch for the sign-up sheet for the Michaelmas communal meal.
Novel Theology - new meeting time! It looks like a better time to meet might be October 5th at 7 PM. We will plan to meet in the Parish Center or Library depending on how many people participate. The book is Snow Falling on Cedars and may be purchased at Bookman's at Grant and Speedway.

St. Luke's Home is seeking volunteers - come learn about volunteer opportunities to lend a helping han toseniors. Areas of opportunities are front desk reception, companionship to residents, resident activities, and assisting with resident advocacy to name a few. St. Luke's 64-unit assisted living facility is located midtown at 615 E Adams St, near Speedway and Euclid. Attend an open house on Wednesday, October 11th, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
