Announcements for Week Ending December 21, 2008

Stewardship Reminder - Those who have not yet estimated their giving please use the pledge cards and envelopes located at the end of each pew. You may simply drop the completed cards in the collection, mail them or bring them by the parish office. Please remember to pick-up your contribution envelopes in the back of church!

VESTRY MEETING – The Vestry will meet this Tuesday at 7 pm in the Parish Center. All parishioners are invited to attend this important parish function.

DEADLINE FOR THE MESSENGER - The New Year is already upon us – the January issue of The Messenger copy deadline is this coming Wednesday, December 17. Please submit your article to church @ or the church office. January’s copy deadline is early due to the upcoming Christmas schedule.

ECW QUILT RAFFLE - The ECW handmade quilt raffle has been moved to the English Tea on Saturday May 9, 2009. This gorgeous quilt may be seen in the church office. Tickets are on sale.

St. Michael’s Angel Food - Don’t forget your “Angel Food” for last minute Christmas gifts in an attractive gift-ready box. This is an affordable means of sharing the fund raising effort by your parishioner volunteers. Just stop by the church office for your Angel Food. Share the goodness and sweetness of St. Michael and All Angels Church!

The Knitters and Quilters will not meet this month. We’ll see you next year, January 10, 2009.

Opportunities for Giving

Casa Maria will meet this Friday at 6 pm in the Parish Center to prepare the sack lunches for Primavera. Your help is needed! The volunteers can always use a few “eggstra” hands and two dozen shelled hard boiled eggs. Please join us for fellowship and to help with this good work!

TAX CREDIT REMINDER – St. Michael’s Parishioners, we need your help! There are four weeks remaining to complete your tax credit designation to Arizona Episcopal Schools Foundation. We are asking for all parishioners to take action, get involved and help St. Michael’s School receive those important tax dollars. Every dollar we receive supports assistance for deserving families. More information to come. Questions? Call Lila at 722-8478, extension 213, at St. Michael’s School

ANGEL TREE Giving 2008 - This was the last Sunday to obtain Angel Tree tags from the Christmas Tree at the back of church. Please be sure to sign the sheet on the usher’s table so that we will know what children’s names have been taken. This year I need all the gifts returned to the office or brought to the tree no later than Wednesday, December 17th. Please remember to include the tags for return if any of the items are the wrong size or color. For any of you who would like to participate but are unable to shop, let me know and I will be glad to take care of it for you. May God Bless all of you during this wonderful time of the year. Please call me if you have any questions or have any problems with your gifts. Thanking you in advance for your generosity – Ancelyn Smith
